When we think of leaders, so many people think of the elected officials that make decisions for a wider community. At Pimpala Primary School, we believe that leadership is more than shouting a loud message at a group of people. Leadership is best demonstrated by those who let their actions do the talking. Leadership is acting with integrity. Doing the right thing, because you want to, even when nobody is looking.
Leadership isn’t a trait that someone is born with. It is a set of skills and thought patterns that develop over time. At Pimpala, we value developing these skills in our students to act as strong, lifelong leaders. On Monday 24th February, we held a badge ceremony for 82 student leaders from Reception to Year 7. The COLA was abuzz of proud students, parents, teachers and community members.
Our Year 4-7 SRC leaders and Flag Monitors will undertake their first experience as a school leader for 2020 when they attend the GRIP Student Leadership Training. Students will travel by bus with Michael Sboro and Jo Power to discover their leadership potential.
It is important that our students recognise that they are already on the leadership journey now so they can guide us through the problems of the future with a sense of calm and authority, knowing that real leadership is about selecting and changing paths in order to reach a final destination.
Kind regards,
Richard Kemp

Our Soccer Committee had a a great turn out for their Come and Try event and made $350.00 at their barbeque.
School photos have been scheduled for Friday, 6th March with follow up photos for anyone absent to be taken on Thursday, 12th March. This year the photos will be taken by Advanced Life Photography.
Whilst an envelope and flyer has been distributed, it is our preference that ordering be completed online to reduce administration and potential security issues related to the return of cash and envelopes on photo day.
Orders for packages and sibling photographs can be placed securely online at www.advancedlife.com.au using our school’s unique 9 digit advanced order code. See below.
Portrait and group package orders are due by photography day. Should you wish to purchase a sibling photograph online, the order must be placed no later than the day before photography day - Thursday, 5th March at midnight. Sibling photographs will only be taken if an order has been placed.
