We want to take this time to acknowledge and appreciate their endeavours at Pimpala Primary School over many years and other previous schools. We wish them every happiness in their retirement years.
Congratulations Peter, Susan, Neil and Pam - your experience, competence and friendship will be missed.
We also want to say goodbye to Erin Anear, our Student Wellbeing Leader who has won a position as Asssistant Principal at Reynella East College. Congratulations Erin. Erin has been at Pimpala PS for 2 years and has provided a wonderful effective service for our students. We wish Erin all the best for her bright new future.
Congratulations to Michael Sboro who has won the role of Student Wellbeing Leader for the first five weeks of term, while the position is being advertised next year. Henry Carey will take Michael's place during this time.
We also want to acknowledge and thank the contract teachers who have worked at Pimpala PS this year but will be leaving us for greener pastures: Aaron Collier, Tegan Files and Trudi Cole. Thank you also to our regular TRTs - Alina Flink and Theano Karkafiris.

Students visited their 2020 classes yesterday and met their teachers and classmates for next year. This can be a very overwhelming experience for many students (and staff) and it is very important we talk with young people positively, to encourage resilience and a growth mindset when facing change. New experiences, new teachers and ways of working, all create challenges but also `strengths, and realise their potential.
The allocation of students to classes is taken very seriously and a range of factors are taken into consideration as part of the class placement process; this includes individual learning, student relationships and other needs. We have a process early in Term 4 for communicating the learning needs of students but are not always able to meet requests due to restraints, and, even other requests. We maintain confidentiality in the request process and cannot elaborate on the details regarding other students.
If you would like to speak to Leadership about your child’s class placement, please contact the Front Office staff who will make a time for you next year.
What an amazing performance by all of our classes on Thursday, 5th December at End of Year Celebration. We had a fantastic turn out with a large number of family and friends watching the students shine.
It was a perfect evening and the quality and diversity of performances kept everyone enthralled.
Congratulations and special thanks to the End Of Year Celebration committee for such a fabulous event.

It is the parent/caregiver’s responsibility to ensure any medication kept at school for your child is in date and that there are adequate supplies. Please note: this includes puffers.
Thank you so much for your help. Our school community has donated a generous amount of food and presents to be used in hampers for our families who need a little help this Christmas. We appreciate your kindness.

Fridays and Special Lunch days are our busiest days, but if you can help on any of the days the canteen is open, that would be great. All help is greatly appreciated
