We are a southern metropolitan government school set on four hectares of picturesque grounds. School pride and community involvement are strongly promoted and we are committed to developing a safe, productive and caring learning environment. Pimpala offers an open-space learning environment. Underpinning our priorities, policies and procedures are our school values:

Respect · Responsibility · Communication · Friendship · Excellence

Central to our core business is the development of students who:

  • have the ability to think critically and creatively
  • have a sense of self-efficacy in determining their future
  • are able to use literacy and numeracy to communicate thoughts, ideas and opinions
  • are able to develop and maintain quality relationships

School leadership, teaching and support staff are proactive in keeping abreast of the most current pedagogies that are inclusive of the diversity of the learning needs of our students. We are dedicated to ensuring that each child is provided with an enjoyable, challenging and rewarding education.

Our school embeds Restorative Practices which allows us to focus on:

  • students taking responsibility for their behaviour and making sensible choices;
  • the development of a partnership with students and families to provide consistent expectations and consequences;
  • ensuring that the Behaviour Policy is supportive and explicit;
  • consequences being clearly defined and consistent in supporting the rights of teachers and students.

Our school community is supported by an active and motivated Governing Council, sharing in the development and implementation of school operations and programs.

I welcome you to explore our website, and please feel free to contact me for a personal meeting & tour of the school.
